Jacob decided to get up early this morning. He had had a pleasant evening the night before, playing with his friend Kwok-wai and her husband Shing - who had cooked his parents a delicious meal - and his night had gone on long enough.
There is just so much he has to do these days, what with exercising his vocal chords, practising sitting up, holding onto the side of the toy chest and wiggling his bottom from side to side, trying to cram the ladybird and other soft toys down his throat, gnawing on his knuckles, that really it's best to get an early start. Otherwise there are just not enough hours in the day.
His parents are not always as responsive as he would like before 6 am. Kneading his mother's soft underbelly with his persistently talon-like toes usually the trick eventually though, coupled with yodelling if not.

And here he is, in another *** VIDEO ***,relaxing in bed with his toy piggy, a present from Holly.
As you can see, he is excessively proud of being able to stand, albeit for a very short time, quite unaided except for a large wicker basket.
