Our little family began to feel at home as soon as we'd rolled out the Kyrgyz rug and invested in a big (plastic!) bottle of olive oil from the Hyde Park Co-op, but we are still some way from inviting to interior design journalists to have a photo shoot. Furniture so far installed: Jacob's bouncy chair, a big mattress (bed frame not yet assembled), a desk (no chair yet), and a nice wooden table.
Jacob can't think why we would need much else, but he has become very interested over the last two days in his toys: the rattle from his cousin (twice removed) Teresa, his brightly coloured Tryphid-shaped toy and his mobile, parts of which he can now cram into his mouth.
He grabbed my sequinned pink belt of his own accord yesterday!
