Rufus has just found a way to entertain himself, for the first time in his short life: he is completely absorbed by the rattle that I have hung from the side of his bouncy chair. Hooray! Until now he has been almost impossible to put down for more than a minute or so unless he is about to fall asleep. But his exciting new swatting skills have kept him entertained for a good 11 minutes so far!
As I type, I can hear his attempts to engage the rattle in conversation, in between swats. I'll have to go over and take another look.
